Research collaborations
Most of our projects are interdisciplinary, and we have extensive experience bridging different research interests. You are always welcome to contact us if you are interested in a research collaboration with CoRe. Additionally, feel free to reach out to us if you have a PhD or a master’s degree in relevant disciplines and are interested in joining CoRe, either as an employee or as a visiting researcher for a certain period.
Research networks
CoRe is engaged in interdisciplinary research projects in collaboration with researchers at the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences, and the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Copenhagen. We collaborate and are in close dialogue with other universities in Denmark, namely Aalborg University, the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts (KADK), IT University, Aarhus University, and the University of Southern Denmark. Internationally, we collaborate with numerous partners, such as the University of Oxford, the University of Exeter, Durham University, the ANU School of Cybernetics, and Lund University.
Our collaboration with Techno-anthropology in the EMOVE project
The goal of the project “Enabling the matching of volunteers (EMOVE)” is to improve how organizations recruit, engage, and match volunteers. The aim of the project is to develop an IT system that simplifies the process of matching volunteers with citizens or specific activities. CoRe collaborates with a research group consisting of Technology Anthropology (AAU), the IT company Kople, and several voluntary organizations working with vulnerable groups of citizens, including Elderlearn, Alzheimerforeningen, and Foreningen Lige Adgang.
The interdisciplinary research collaboration between CoRe and Technology Anthropology has been particularly rewarding, as both research groups have been able to contribute with their respective professional expertise, both in the qualitative fieldwork and in the co-creation process, whereby the collaboration between researchers has generated insights into the factors for creating a successful and usable IT system for NGOs working with vulnerable groups of citizens.
